Mackey Web Studio · Privacy

Your information.
Handled with care.

This Privacy Policy explains how I handle information when you visit Mackey Web Studio, request a mockup or website audit, become a client, or interact with my business tools.

Effective October 3, 2026

Who this policy covers

I’m David Mackey, the operator of Mackey Web Studio in Central Illinois. In this policy, “I,” “me,” and “Mackey Web Studio” refer to my business.

This policy covers mackeywebstudio.net, business inquiries and client services, and the MWS Jarvis Ads app. A website I build for a client may have its own privacy policy; this policy does not automatically govern that client’s business or its visitors.

Information I collect

  • Information you provide: your name, email, business name, website address, and any details you submit for a mockup, audit, or inquiry. A project brief may also include your phone number, contact preference, location, service area, business hours, customer audience, services, design preferences, selected package, and project notes or materials.
  • Communications and service records: emails, replies, project discussions, approvals, support requests, and records of services provided.
  • Payment information: Stripe processes payment details. I receive information needed to administer purchases and care plans, such as customer identifiers, transaction or subscription status, and billing contact details. Do not send card numbers in an inquiry form or email.
  • Website and device information: hosting and analytics services may collect IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring links, approximate location, timestamps, and interactions such as form submissions.
  • Public business information: I may review publicly listed business contact details and websites when researching a relevant business inquiry or potential project.

Please provide only information relevant to your request. Do not put passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or sensitive personal information in ordinary website forms.

How I use information

I use information to respond to requests, prepare mockups and audits, scope and deliver websites, provide hosting and care-plan support, process payments, and maintain business records. I also use it to prevent abuse, troubleshoot services, understand website performance, and measure marketing results.

Business details may be used to prioritize inquiries and organize follow-up. Automated and AI-assisted tools may help with research, drafting, website production, and administrative work; information relevant to those tasks may be processed by those service providers.

If you request an audit, I use your details to deliver it and answer your questions. I honor the audit page’s no-follow-up-pitch promise and do not enroll audit requests in an automatic sales-pitch sequence. Mockup requests may receive delivery messages and related follow-up. You can ask me to stop promotional messages at any time; project and account messages needed for an active service may still be sent.

Service providers and disclosures

Information is processed through services that help run the business. These include hosting and infrastructure providers such as Vercel, Google services for email and business records, Kit for email subscriptions and follow-up, Stripe for payments, Loom for audit-video delivery when used, and analytics, advertising, and AI-assisted production services where used.

Providers receive information relevant to their role and process it under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Google and Meta may also process analytics or advertising information for their own purposes as described below.

I may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud, or protect rights and safety. If ownership of the business changes, relevant records may be transferred subject to applicable safeguards and notice requirements.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are optional on this website. They stay off unless you allow the corresponding category in Privacy choices. When allowed, they collect information about visits and actions, including page views and lead-form activity, to measure traffic and advertising. You can reject both categories without losing access to forms or checkout.

A first-party preference cookie remembers your choice for up to 180 days. It is used to respect your settings, not to track you across websites. If your browser blocks storage, the website may ask again. Global Privacy Control keeps advertising tracking off; a Do Not Track signal keeps both optional categories off.

Google and Meta may associate permitted activity with other information they hold, including an account or device. Advertising-related disclosures can qualify as “sharing,” “sale,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws, even when no contact list is sold for money.

Use to change or withdraw permission. Withdrawing stops optional tracking on this site and attempts to remove its accessible first-party analytics or advertising cookies; the page may reload. It does not delete information already received by a provider or cookies on another provider’s domain. You can also use browser controls and Google or Meta privacy settings.

After a successful audit request, a short-lived first-party receipt cookie helps display its confirmation once. It contains only a timestamp, no submitted contact or website details, and expires within 10 minutes or is cleared when the confirmation page reads it.

MWS Jarvis Ads and Meta data

MWS Jarvis Ads supports Mackey Web Studio’s authorized advertising workflows. Depending on the permissions granted and features used, it may process a connecting user’s basic public-profile information, such as identifier, name, and profile picture; the list of Pages they manage; Page content and engagement information; business and ad-account identifiers; campaign settings and ad creative; and advertising performance reports.

This information is used to operate authorized advertising workflows, monitor results, diagnose errors, and maintain operational records. Access credentials are sensitive and are not intended for publication or inclusion in ordinary project communications.

Meta data is shared only as needed with providers supporting those functions, as permitted by Meta’s terms, or where legally required. It is not sold or used for unrelated purposes. You can remove the app’s access through your Meta account’s app or business-integration settings and request deletion using the instructions below. Removing access alone does not delete previously retained records.

Retention and security

I retain information for as long as reasonably needed to handle inquiries, deliver services, maintain required business and financial records, address disputes, and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information, the relationship, and applicable requirements; there is no single retention period for every record.

Meta platform data is deleted when it is no longer needed for an authorized purpose or when required by a valid deletion request or Meta’s terms, unless retention is legally required. Relevant service providers must also be included when fulfilling deletion requests.

I use reasonable safeguards intended to limit unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No website, email system, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link where provided, or email me to stop promotional follow-up. Tell me if your contact details or communication preferences change.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising uses. Contact me to exercise an applicable right or ask a privacy question.

I may request limited information to verify your identity or authority before acting. Requests are handled within applicable legal deadlines, and some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

Request access or data deletion

Email David directly
david@mackeywebstudio.net

Use the subject “Privacy request” or “MWS Jarvis Ads data deletion.” Include the email address used with the service, the relevant business or app, and what you would like accessed, corrected, or deleted. For Meta-related requests, include an available account or business identifier if needed to locate your records. Never send a password or access token.

I will review the request, confirm identity where necessary, and explain its outcome, including any information that must be retained and why. This is an email-based request process, not an automatic deletion callback.

Children, location, and policy changes

Mackey Web Studio’s services are intended for business owners and adults, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me so I can investigate and address it.

The business operates in the United States, and service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Applicable protections can differ by location.

I may update this policy as services, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will identify the current version, and additional notice will be provided when required.
